Gold prices fall sharply in Pakistan, per tola Rs43,600 down

KARACHI — Gold prices in Pakistan’s bullion markets recorded a massive decline, marking one of the largest drops in history. Investors and traders were surprised by the sharp fall.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold per tola decreased by Rs43,600. The new rate stands at Rs447,762 per tola.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold fell by Rs37,380. The revised price in Pakistan is now Rs338,883 per 10 grams.

In the international market, gold prices also experienced a significant decline. Prices dropped by $436, bringing the rate to $4,250 per ounce.

Experts say this marks the largest single-day decline in gold prices. The per tola rate has now dropped over Rs125,000 from its all-time high.
